Construction
After the Prestart interviews your variations will be priced and sent out for you to sign. When Lifestyle Homes receive your signed variations, your final working drawings will be drawn up for you to sign. Once you have signed the final working drawings, your file goes to our scheduling department, where all building materials for your new home can be ordered.
Once we have confirmation of all necessary documentation, Lifestyle Homes is 'Ready to Start'.
You will receive a letter from our Construction Manager, which will advise you of the proposed starting date. They will also give you the name and contact number for your site supervisor who will handle all your queries during construction.

| These are the stages of construction and how long they should take. Please note this is a guide only and may vary dependant on the complexity of your home, weather conditions or any unforeseen delays. |

Siteworks and slab down = 3 - 4 weeks |

Slab to plate high (brickwork is complete) = 5 - 7 weeks |

Plate high to lock-up = 5 - 7 weeks |
| • |
Lock-up to practical completion = 6 - 8 weeks |
Progress Payments
At each of the above stages you will receive a letter from Lifestyle Homes to advise that your home has reached a particular progress payment stage. This will enable you to make payments directly or instruct your lender to do so on your behalf. Most lenders require written authority to release progress payments. When you receive this notice from Lifestyle Homes, please arrange for these progress payments to be made promptly. |
Gas Connections
Application for gas connections must be made by you the owner(s). Therefore, please ensure you contact the service authority in sufficient time prior to our commencing your new home, you will need to set up the account and advise us at your Prestart interview.
Telephone Connections
Please check with your Land Developer regarding communication connection requirements specific to your area, e.g. E-Wire.
Lifestyle Homes is not authorised to install Telstra phone lines. At completion of construction you need to firstly arrange lead in cabling. To arrange this, please contact:
• North of the river - Vision Stream 1800 303 085
• South of the river - Service Stream 1800 773 776
• South West - Contact Telstra direct
After the approved subcontractor has installed your lines and you are ready to move into your new home, you will need to contact Telstra again to activate the phone connection.
Pre-Handover Inspection
A week prior to practical completion, you will be contacted to arrange an inspection of your new home with your Site Supervisor. If there are any items that need attention, they will normally be attended to within the next 10 working days. |
