Colour Selection

Many questions about colour selection, so we've answered the most frequent ones below.
What you need to do before your Prestart selection meeting:
Look at your plans carefully
Mark any special requirements in RED PEN on your client copy of the floorplan / elevation plan
Doors, door frames, bathroom accessories, kitchen appliances, paving - anything which you may want priced.
Write a list of all changes on the contract variation sheet(s)
Complete the selection schedule in "colours & finishes" section of your file
This section of your file includes lists of suppliers, which you can visit to see their ranges on display.
Your selection schedule tells us which bricks, mortar and roofing materials you want in your new home. It is best to visit suppliers and have a good idea of what you want before your Prestart interview.
Visit tile centres
Your New Home Owners Guide includes a list of tile centres where you can select your tiles, taps, cabinet colours, bench top colours etc. The sales assistant will help you complete a tile selection form showing all the items you have selected and can answer any questions you may have about the products you have selected.
Lifestyle Homes recommends that all tiles are selected from one nominated supplier to avoid additional costs.
Visit brick & roof tile suppliers selection centres
When you visit any of our nominated suppliers, make sure you take your New Home Owners Guide with you as you will need your house plans and addenda.

Making structural changes at the colour selection interview
Your colour selection interview is your last opportunity to make any final minor changes to your home. You are not permitted to make structural changes at your prestart interview as follows:
•  Relocating an internal room
•  Relocating a kitchen /s bathroom / ensuite
•  Extending external walls - i.e. increasing floor area / perimeter of your home
•  Changing the elevation
•  Changing the brick size
•  Changing the size of the carport / garage
•  Repositioning of your home on the block

Alterations such as these will require a re-submission of your plans to council. You will incur additional redraw and resubmission fees if you still decide to make these structural change

It is essential that you finalise your design with your Sales Consultant at the start of the pre-construction process. This will ensure smooth and efficient progress of your job through the contract processing phase.

What if I want to change something after the Prestart selection interview?
It is important that all items are finalised at the Prestart selection interview because after this meeting all changes, however minor, incur a variation fee depending on the complexity, plus the cost of the amendment.

What if I want to supply my own goods?
Unfortunately this is not possible as we are unable to accept owner supplied goods.

What if you chose something outside Lifestyle Homes' standard range?
Selections outside the standard range will be itemised on the contract variation sheet during your Prestart selection meeting. After the Prestart selection interview your variations will be priced and sent out for you to sign.

When Lifestyle Homes receives your signed variations, your final working drawings will be drawn up for you to sign. Once you have signed the final working drawings, your file goes to our scheduling department, where all building materials for your new home can be ordered.
